  • Onboarding Strategies for New Advisors PFCC.Connect Informal Conversation

Join us on Tuesday, August 22nd from 12 – 1 pm ET as we discuss onboarding strategies for new patient and family advisors!

The onboarding process is an important part of engaging with patient and family advisors in initiatives and/or as members of a patient and family advisory council. Often times, there are many steps including but not limited to: the application process, background checks, orientation, mentoring, etc. Join the conversation with colleagues from the field to discuss best practices, opportunities for improvement, and new approaches to onboarding.

PFCC.Connect conversations are participatory in nature, building on the interest, experience, and expertise of those who join the discussion. We do not do a formal presentation but rather let the conversation be guided by what participants want to learn through sharing our collective experiences. Deborah Dokken, Senior Specialist, Patient and Family Partnerships, and Ushma Patel, Director for Special Projects and Educational Programs will facilitate the discussion.

Note: We’ve had an interest in more informal networking opportunities. We will open the Zoom meeting at 11:30 am ET for 20 minutes of informal chat and discussion in small breakout rooms. Come join us and meet someone new!
