IPFCC Webinar - Diverse Voices Matter: Improving Diversity in PFACs

Webinar Description:
Many healthcare organizations lack a formal method to deeply understand and evaluate diverse patient and family experiences. Understanding care experiences of patients and families from minority racial and ethnic groups is essential to improving pervasive disparities. This webinar will strengthen healthcare organizations’ abilities to advance health equity by sharing strategies and tools that help recruit and retain diverse populations in patient and family advisory councils (PFAC). 

Webinar Objectives:

• Define the broad spectrum of diverse patients in their patient population and understand the importance of having a diverse group of patient and family advisors serving on their PFAC
• Identify strategies for engagement, recruitment, and retention of diverse advisors
• Recognize obstacles in their environment to retaining and recruiting diverse advisors
• Analyze PFAC inclusivity through checklists and sample recruitment flyers from established 
  diverse PFACs
