  • PFCC.Connect Informal Conversation: Part 1: PFAC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Recruitment Strat

Our next PFCC.Connect Informal Conversation: Part 1: PFAC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Recruitment Strategies, will be held on February 28th at 12pm ET

Join us on to discuss best practices for recruiting patient and family advisors (PFAs), with a focus on addressing gaps in patient and family advisory council (PFAC) diversity and representativeness.

PFACs are an invaluable mechanism for engaging patients and families to improve health and health care. However, many health care organizations are at risk of not obtaining input and perspectives from key segments of their patient and family population, particularly historically underrepresented populations most likely to experience health inequities (e.g., communities of color, non-English speakers, communities with low socio-economic status, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+ populations).

This PFCC.Connect informal conversation will provide an opportunity to share learnings, questions, and ideas about recruiting, preparing, and supporting PFAs.

PFCC.Connect conversations are participatory in nature, building on the interest, experience, and
expertise of those who join the discussion. We do not do a formal presentation but rather let the conversation be guided by what participants want to learn through sharing our collective experiences. Pam DardessVice President for Strategic Operations, and Marie AbrahamVice President, Programming and Publications will facilitate the discussion.
